Dr. Freshta Karemzadah is originally from Whitby, Ontario, she is excited to be back in her hometown, serving the community she knows and loves. She pursued her undergraduate education at McMaster University, where her passion for eye health first ignited. Her journey led her to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she graduated summa cum laude.
During her time at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Dr. Karemzadah distinguished herself as an exceptional student, earning the privilege of being a member of the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa Honour Society and the Gold Key Honour Society. These honours are a testament to her academic excellence and commitment to her profession.
Dr. Karemzadah’s extensive clinical rotations included working with veterans in the United States, where she gained valuable experience in managing ocular disease. She also had the opportunity to train with glaucoma, cataract, and anterior segment specialists, further enhancing her skills in these critical areas of eye care.
Beyond her professional life, Dr. Karemzadah is an avid reader who enjoys spending time with friends and family. She's also an enthusiastic runner and a connoisseur of the best coffee shops. Her dedication to eye health, combined with her love for her community and her diverse interests, make her a well-rounded and compassionate optometrist, committed to providing exceptional care to her patients. As she returns to her hometown, she looks forward to serving her community and continuing to pursue her passion for optometry.
